While lockdown has certainly been a challenge on so many fronts, one of the things I am truly grateful for is the extra time in my days to read. I have been an avid reader since childhood and I love getting lost in a good book as much as I love my mountain hikes and outdoor adventures. Over the coming months I will share here on the blog what I’ve been reading…feel free to ask questions about any of the books I’ve read and leave your own recommendations in the comments section too if you like! I am continually on the lookout for inspiring reads and love it when someone shares what they’ve enjoyed reading with me.
January’s reading was pure bliss I have to say and I would find it hard to say which of these books was my favourite as they were all brilliant in their own special ways. However, if you want to read a book that will really challenge, inspire and uplift you then it has to be Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer – it goes deep, but it is stunning from start to finish and filled with so much wisdom.
Happy Reading!
Kelly
