My brother, John, and I are delighted to have now finally set a new date for our DOUBLE 7 SUMMITS CHALLENGE – The second weekend in September will see us take on this mega challenge and we would so appreciate your support to raise funds for Air Ambulance NI.

The plan is to complete a trek of the 7 highest peaks in the Mourne Mountain range, camp overnight, then undertake the hike once again the following day. This huge task will take in 14 peaks, cover approximately 36 miles and involve around 24 hours of trekking. Undoubtedly this will challenge us physically, mentally and emotionally but it is all in aid of the essential and incredible work of Air Ambulance NI.
Check out some of the pictures from our training earlier in the year. We had a number of 6.30am starts, trekking until around 3.00pm in a bid to build our stamina and increase our distance capacity. We were met with icy conditions and a full-on blizzards during the winter months – tough going at times but certainly one way to find out what we’re made of and build our resilience!

There’s no doubt this is a huge challenge and if you’d like to support us you can do so by donating to the invaluable work of Air Ambulance NI at our JustGiving Page:

THANK YOU!
